Certifications and partnerships

##### ISO 9001
Språkservice was one of the first interpreter agencies in Sweden to be certified according to the quality management standard ISO 9001:2000 and the very first to have been upgraded to ISO 9001:2015 according to www.certifiering.nu.<br><br>Språkservice as always focused on quality and customer satisfaction, and we have found ISO 9001 to be a good tool in this pursuit. The certification entails certification and monitoring by an independent third party to ensure that we meet the requirements of the quality management standard, as a guarantee that our quality management and improvement work is effective as well as goal-oriented.

 
##### ISO 14001
Språkservice’s environmental management is also certified according to ISO 14001:2015. This means that we have reviewed our service processes and the development of our interpretation and translation services, and that we have analysed the direct and indirect impact of our operation on the environment.<br><br>As we create, monitor and follow up on all of our work flow process management from our head office in Malmö, we have opted to initially certify the head office. Thanks to an external review process, we can be sure that our strategic environmental management work meets the requirements of the standard and, above all, that we are effectively reducing our environmental impact. The certification refers to the Malmö office, but it impacts all parts of our operation, regardless of where in the country our service is provided.
 

##### The Association of Swedish Language Service Providers (Språkföretagen Almega)
The Association of Swedish Language Service Providers was formed in 2012 for the benefit of language professionals working in interpretation and translation companies. The aim of the association is to promote a continuous, sustainable development of the language industry, whether its members work with the spoken or written word. Språkservice is a corporate member of the Association of Swedish Language Service Providers and represented on its board of directors. By recruiting new member companies, working actively with the code of ethics, and by providing a forum to discuss industry policy issues, we work together to build a platform for healthy business practices.

 
##### The Swedish Association of Professional Translators (SFÖ)
Språkservice is a corporate member of the Swedish Association of Professional Translators (SFÖ). SFÖ is a non-profit trade organisation for translators and language companies. The association aims to recognise, develop and strengthen translators in their professional role, and to build networks involving professional translators and their clients.

All parts of Språkservice’s operation are in line with Swedish legislation. We also comply with recognised Swedish and international standards of sustainable enterprise and development.


##### Sound business based on neutrality and impartiality
Språkservice aims to contribute to healthy competition and keep growing in a sound business climate. We work against all forms of corruption, illegal price cartels, or other types of collusion which could eliminate, hinder or limit healthy competition. We will not accept any situation where there is a risk of unhealthy practices impacting neutral and professional assessment or behaviour, and we have procedures in place to avoid and monitor conflicts of interest that could arise in our processes.

Quality Management

At Språkservice, we strive to maintain a high level of availability and reliability in our services to make sure that our clients receive the interpretation and translations they need, when they need it. Our services are to maintain a high quality and be professionally provided.


We want our employees to be happy and healthy in the workplace, and to have them use their skills and commitment to ensure that every contact is a positive experience for the person on the other end.

 
We want every booking to be handled and processed in accordance with applicable terms and agreements. We have a matching process to ensure that the most suitable interpreter or translator available is assigned to the booking in question. We make sure to clarify the terms of each booking to ensure that every assignment is completed at the right time, in the right place, and with the right expertise. The interpreter or translator is fully informed about the terms of the assignment, to ensure that they only accept when they have the capacity and ability to do so.

 
Everyone has a duty to stay alert to risks and non-conformities, and to immediately notify their superior if they should find any. It is also the duty of each employee to adhere to the instructions and procedures that have been established as part of our strategic quality management.
 

Our quality development is integrated in our daily work and constitutes an important part of our company’s strategic business development. We have set long-term quality goals, that we break down into operational objectives, which are continuously measured and evaluated, and which give us a chance to quickly identify risks involving quality deficiencies and deviations so that we can address them right away. In case of changes in the operation, a discussion must take place in terms of environmental issues, risk assessment and impact evaluation.


We conduct regular checks to ensure that our activities meet the requirements and ambitions we have set out for our operation. We also have an external review conducted each year by an independent auditor, and once every three years, the entire management system is revised during a recertification process in accordance with ISO 9001.

Environmental Management

At Språkservice, we strive to maintain a safe working environment in consideration of our individual employees as well as the environment. We have a structured environmental management process to ensure that we meet all relevant legal requirements and that we can prevent negative environmental impact wherever possible.


We are actively striving to reduce our use of resources and to limit the direct and indirect effects that our activities may have on air, land and water. We want to continually improve our environmental awareness, and we are committed to influencing our clients, interpreters, translators, employees and suppliers so that they too will work towards reducing our environmental impact to the best of their abilities.

Sustainability Vision


Our mission at Språkservice is to constantly improve our interpreting and translation services, so that we can offer professional, high-quality services, at a reasonable cost to our clients, while also maintaining a good working climate for our employees as well as our freelance interpreters and translators. To the greatest extent possible, we want to be considerate of the environment, human health and safety, in order to contribute to a sustainable development where we can meet the needs of today without jeopardising the opportunities of future generations. 

 
Språkservice wants to encourage all of our supplier to actively promote sustainable business practices. Our own sustainability management is based on the 10 principles of the United Nations Global Compact relating to human rights, working conditions, environment and corruption. 
 

Språkservice welcomes a dialogue on sustainable business and we want to collaborate with suppliers who also stand behind these principles. Språkservice is actively working on the following issues, and we encourage our supplies to do the same when collaborating with us.

 
##### 1.	Compliance
Suppliers of Språkservice Sverige AB must comply with all applicable national laws, ordinances and regulations in their respective operating countries. They must also have and keep in proper order any permits, licenses and registrations that are needed for the activities.


##### 2.	A high level of integrity and respect for human equality in all activities
Suppliers of Språkservice Sverige AB must respect and safeguard human rights. If it becomes apparent that the operation has, or is in any way at risk of having, a negative impact on human rights, this must immediately be addressed.


Suppliers of Språkservice Sverige AB must ensure good working conditions at all levels of their organisation, including the right to unionise, collective bargaining rights, banning of all forms of forced labour or child labour, as well as banning discriminatory practices in hiring or employment processes.


##### 3.	Sustainable development and responsible business practices
Suppliers of Språkservice Sverige AB must adhere to the precautionary principle when it comes to environmental risks and must minimise the environmental impact of their activities throughout the value chain. Suppliers of Språkservice Sverige AB must endorse a greater sense of responsibility for the environment and strive to develop and share green technologies.


##### 4.	Sound business practices and active promotion of positive developments in the market.
Suppliers of Språkservice Sverige AB must counteract all forms of corruption, including extorsion and bribery, and they must contribute to healthy competition and a positive business climate. Corruption, bribery and unfair anti-competitive practices distort markets and hinder economic, social and democratic development.

Suppliers of Språkservice Sverige AB must always strive to maintain high quality and, where possible, all parties must comply with the Språkservice quality policy.
